96 toyota camry changed from miles to kilometers on the odometer

as kilometers add up on your odometer it also includes all your indevidual trip kilometers. you can reset each trip as often as you like but it will not switch to miles as the onboard computer cannot convert miles to kilometers. some new vehicles equiped with the ''black box'' might, but i have yet to see one. if anyone else knows, please get back to me.

How do I reset the oil indicator on my 2005 Toyota Camry? The oil was changed last month, but I don't know how to reset the numbers.

1. With the car started (ignition on), set the LCD odometer readout to total mileage (not trip A or B).
2. Turn the car off (ignition key to the OFF position).
3. Push in AND HOLD the button/knob that switches the odometer
4. Turn key to ON position without starting the car. You will notice the maintenance light blink and go out.
5. Release the odometer button/knob.
6. Turn key to OFF position.
That's it! The "MAINT REQD" light has been reset to warn you to change your oil in another 5,000 or 7,500 miles or so.

You will need to contact VOSA (Vehicles operating standards agency) on 0300 123 9000, they should be able to inform you on the steps they need to take forward with you in order to have your MOT certificate rectified.

Switch odometer from miles to kilometer

If your colorado has a drivers info center you can do it through the dash yourself. It will be in the owners manuel. If it does not have the info center you will need to take it to a dealer and it will take just a few minutes to do with their scan tool. Good Luck

In the settings menue you will find the submenue (localization?) - from US to metric. This changes the computer figures and letters in odometer

Yes there is a button you push it in and it changes from kilometers to odometer, should be in front of closter on the right side, right side of steering wheel.

I have a 1996 Toyota Camry that did the same thing on Tuesday. Today I used the odometer trip reset to correct the problem. I pushed the trip reset button in and turned it clockwise several revolutions. A local Toyota dealer had told me by phone to use the trip reset button. I checked the distance and it was corrected.
