2005 grand am wont start battery checks good, security light on dash is on

No dash lights? no warning lights? Then ignition is not being turned to ON. Check all your fuses. Recheck your replacement work. Battery cables clean and tight? Headlights work? If lights are bright, battery is good and cables are good, so key to ON should light up warning lights on dash. If not something up still with your ignition switch.

the clicking noise could be a relay trying to latch or a security system armed either way you have to have your BCM(body control module ) checked, le me know what is the diagnosis

It could be the neutral starting switch..You can wiggle the gears and it will start

Did u try unlocking the passenger door with the key?these are very common for the drivers switch goin bad

Hard to tell. If it is working now, they must have done something. It could have been a bad connection somewhere.. Sometimes when checking connections, problems go away. Only time will tell. Remember it is important to have both the engine and the body to have good grounds.

First thing i would check is the security system. If the battery is good, and it feels like everything is normall except it just wont crank. It could be the security or the starter. Looks like the security system (PassKey) is having problems, it's typical on those cars and it can get worse till the car wont start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

ck if you need a tune up, lights work off the battery,charge battery ck electric coil

Like you said, battery may be flat. You can check that with a multimeter.

Next check the alternator. Faulty alternator leads to uncharged battery.
