Why dose the abs brake light on dash come on when I am not braking

Open the fuse panel by pulling down on the fuse panel cover in the driver's side footwell.
Locate the fuse for the ABS sensor using the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover.
Pull the fuse for the ABS using the fuse pullers in the fuse box.
Check the fuse for the ABS. If the fuse is broken or damaged in some way, then replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage. The ABS light could come on if there is a short in the system and it blows the fuse.
Turn the ignition to the "On" position but do not crank the engine. If the ABS light comes on, crank the engine. If it stays on for more than five seconds, there is a failure in the ABS system, and it needs to be serviced by a professional mechanic.

Disable ABS without losing brake lights?

Many of the master cylinders have connection for a brake light pressure switch. Some also active the brake lights by placing a switch directly under the brake pedal. You may need to build your own bracket.

Can i bypass the abs system on my 98 ford windstar

Are you wanting to discontinue the abs? If so, then keep in mind that you will no longer have abs. The brakes will still function the same without abs. In order to "bypass" the abs system, locate the main fuse/control box under hood. There should be either a relay or large fuse marked for abs. If so, simply remove the fuse/relay.

X5 abs trac controle and stabilety controle

Hello Steve

The problem is in the fuse box. The ABS Fuse needs replacing and while you are doing this make sure you check other fuses too, as the ABS fuse normally takes out other fuses but not always.

Hope this helps. Please don't forget to rate me.

Thanks
