Ur wiper motor has this return contact points in the mechanism and the contact is already eroded or dirty,
U could bring ur car to fix that problem, or u could do it by urself!
Well you can please follow the below steps - 1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. If the tension spring is damaged or broken, the arm will not show resistance. If it is functioning properly, then pull the arm back until the hinge locks in a vertical position. 2. Remove the retaining nut at the base of the windshield wiper arm and pull the wiper arm off. 3. Slide the new wiper arm assembly on. 4. Tighten the retaining nut and lower the arm back down to the windshield. Please post comments for any other help or information......
There was a recall on the wiper circuit board cracking and causing the problems your having and at worst the wipers not working. For now you can pull the fuse to the wipers to save the wiper blades, but the problem is the circuit board where the wire harness clips on to the wiper motor cracks and will need to be re-soldered. You can check with the dealer to see if your wiper motor is still covered with the campaign a few years ago, if not you can buy the replacement circuit board at most larger auto parts store like Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instructions to get the job done. A light tap to the electric motor where the wire harness will also fix this problem, but it really needs to be re-soldered or replaced. Good luck
It sounds like the the circuit board has gone bad and does not know where the base is any more so it will stop at the middle or the windshield. Auto Zone should have a new board if it's replaceable like the GM products. Good luck and hope this helps, In the mean time you can always turn your wipers on and pull the fuse out when it's at the down position so it's not up.
go to your wipper motor under the shroud infront of wind shield and look for a metal plate at the botom there is a bolt threw it clean it up on both sides that is your ground.
