(8/9/10) Honda said it was recalling more than 428,000 vehicles because of a defect that could cause the cars to roll away if they are parked incorrectly. The recall covers Accord, Civic and Element models from the 2003 and 2004 model years. Hi, Sorry to bug you with a question not an anwer - I have an identical problem, same model. This is clearly a known problem with Volvo they are avoiding. What did you end up doing in the end? Thanks Kimberley
What you need to realize is noone here can fix it and I doubt you have the tools to diagnose this. Maybe this maybe that is only going to confuse you even more. If the prooblem is real you need to take it in before something is damaged. All replacable components are inside the transmission. Only the computer is external. This may be engine sensor related so the only way to find the problem is with a diagnostic scanner.
