Car has half tank of gas acts like its run out of gas until more

Is the exhaust converter older than 12 years?
That's all they last & then block the exhaust flow out

pickup in tank sounds like it has a hole in it halfway down

pickup coil of crank senser is ther a eng light on

my '93 f-250 (4.9L) stopped running while driving, now it acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Tried switching tanks, but still does the same. What would be the problem.

Thee new fuels today go bad after around 3 weeks because of the ethonol content. Put a can of Sea Foam in the gas tank see if that helps clean it out. Best bet is to drain the tank put new fuel in it with a can of Sea Foam, then give it a good long run until the tank is empty. Re fill the tank and put the correct amount of Stabil in the with the gas, this will stop the gas from turning into sugar and it works for years.

first place to look would be your lift pump (fuel pump located behind the fuel filter housing). listen to it when you turn the ignition on, it should run for a few seconds and if you bump the starter it should run for about 30 secs. if you dont hear it running that is most likely your problem

your gas guage may not be working correctly.it may be on empty at the halfway mark,,

Have your battery tested. When the battery has a problem the dodges will act this way.
