Where is the button to open gas cap on 2013 jetta

The outer door to the gas cap doesn't lock. You just press on the outer door and it clicks open. This is a problem, however, b/c there isn't a lockable gas cap available right now.

open the trunk and look around the inside where the fuel filler is-there should be a cable attached to the latch that acts as a manual over ride-if there is none, you will need to carefully pry at the latch to pop it open.

Fuel door will not open using power switch is

change your driver door switch (micro switch) inside the door latch mechanism with electronic micro switch.
since the fuel door automaticaly cannot open when the driver door remain open.

A lot of cars had a pull in the trunk or somewhere close to the filler door just for this purpose, look around or check the manual for the pull, It is usually bright yellow and marked fuel filler, check it out, hope this helps.

Look inside the trunk, there should be a manual override cable or button which will open the fuel door.

should be a pull ring inside the trunk, under the trunk linning to release the fuel cap cover.

Just check in trunk . There is wire on a side panel.Pull and will see.

95 jetta gl 2.0 auto won't start

Take off cap and see if rotor turns when you crank it. If electric fuel pump see if inertia switch is tripped from closing trunklid or doors.

Pushing the door with your hand isn't going to help, but after digging through a lot of info online, I succeeded in doing this. You have to peel back the lining of the trunk on the right side. Once you get a chance to look in there, there's a somewhat transparent white box inside the trunk near the gas cap. Attached to that is a small metal arm that connects to the inside of the gas cap release.

Tug on that piece of metal, and you'll pop open the gas cap.

Just push in the door with your hand. then it will pop open
