How to change fog light bulb on c-5 corvettte?

I found the easiest way to change the fog light bulb is to take bumper off, takes 5 mins, 5/6 screws/clips across the top were the bonnet meets the bumper and a few clips on wheel arches then pull off and 2 spot lights very easy to Accra.

Front Fog Light Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

1. Remove the two clips and lower mudguard on side that bulb is being changed.
2. Disconnect the harness connector from bulb on back of fog lamp.

1. Locate back cover on fog lamp assembly where bulb is located inside.

1. Remove the back cover.

1. Remove the spring retainer, and then detach the fog light bulb.
2. DO NOT TOUCH HALOGEN BULB!! Oils from skin will cause bulb to explode during operation.

1. • 1 Open the hood and reach down into the engine bay for the fog light assembly. If you cannot reach the fog light assembly from the top you may need to get underneath the truck to reach it. Remove the electrical plug running to the fog light ballast.
     
   • 2 Remove the bulb. Unlock the fog light bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out of the assembly.
     
   • 3 Slide a new bulb into the fog light assembly. The part number you will need for the new bulb will be located on the ballast or base of the old bulb.
     
   • 4 Turn the bulb clockwise to lock it into the fog light housing.
     
   • 5 Reconnect the electrical connector to the bulb ballast.

Open the hood and remove the electrical plug from the back of the fog light ballast below the headlight assembly.

Turn the fog lamp counterclockwise to unlock it from the fog light housing.

Insert the new fog lamp. Align the notches on the fog lamp housing with the tabs on the new bulb and turn the bulb clockwise to lock it into the housing.

Reconnect the fog lamp electrical plug.

The procedure to change the fog light is as follows:-- 1) Open the hood and reach down underneath the headlights to unplug the electrical plug from the fog light assembly. Squeeze the top of the release tab and pull the connection off the bulb's ballast. 2)Turn the fog light counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light housing. 3)Install the new fog light bulb.Then connect electrical plugs properly. 4) Test the fog lights by turning it ON. 2005 Forester - It is easiest to remove the fog assembly.

1. From underneath the vehicle pry out one plastic fastener to be able to bend the light weight plastic mud protector downward. You will see the underside of the fog light assembly with one 10mm bolt directly above you. Remove this bolt.
2. From the front of the vehicle unscrew one 10mm bolt at top of fog light (this is the shorter of the 2 by the way) and pry out one plastic rivet adjacent to it.
3. Carefully remove the fog assembly and disconnect 2-pin power connector by pulling up on the release. Carefully wiggle the housing out (no force req'd).
4. Unscrew the back from the housing and replace H3 bulbs. Take care not to touch the bulb while replacing.
5. Reverse to install.

Should take an hour at most.

1. Remove the fog light mounting screw.
2. Disconnect the connector from the fog light.
3. Turn the socket about 45° counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.
4. Remove the bulb from the socket.

To Install:

1. Install the bulb in the socket without touching the glass with bare hands.
2. Turn the socket about 45° clockwise to install it.
3. Connect the connector to the fog light.
4. Install the fog light mounting screw.
