My 505 keeps overheating after the head gasket has been changed 4 times

If your head gasket has been changed that many times, and you are sure the head was checked for wharpage, you may have a water problem. Check the temperature from another source- a digital thermometer and verify it is actually getting hot. Then check radiator for blockage. Replace the thermostat. Verify the temerature control sensor is good.

1992 Toyota Celica - coolant spraying out of overflow, fan didnt seem to be going on. Smells like coolant, so dont think that it is the head gasket. Temperature gauge going up now, but not at first....

There is a fan coolant temperature sensor on the bottom of the radiator, it has an electrical connector on it, with the key on disconnect the connector, if the fans run constantly with the connector off replace this sensor.

Overheating

OVERHEATING CAN BE CAUSE BY MANY THINGS LIKE FAULTY THERMOSTAT AND FAULTY RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP,TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM NEED 50 / 50 WATER AND ANTIFREEZE.LOOK FOR WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAK, IF COOLANT LEAKING OUT WEEP HOLE WATER PUMP BAD NEED REPLACING.CHECK FOR LOW COOLANT LEVEL, YOUR RADIATOR OVERFLOW JUG SHOULD HAVE COOLANT AT THE FULL COLD MARK IF NOT KEEP ADDING COOLANT INTO COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG UNTIL COOLANT STOP DROPPING AND FULL COLD MARK, IF OVERFLOW COOLANT JUG WAS EMPTY RADIATOR IS LOW ON COOLANT.WHICH CAUSE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM KEEPING THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FROM BEING SUBMERGE IN HOT COOLANT WHICH TURN ON THE COOLANT FANS.WHEN ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GET CERTAIN SET TEMPERATURE LIKE 190 DEGREES THE PCM AND COOLANT SENSOR WILL TURN ON COOLANT FANS, IF VECHICLE OVERHEATING COOLANT FANS NOT WORKING EITHER YOU HAVE FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK COOLANT FANS FUSE AND RELAYS. YOU CAN CODE SCAN CAR TO SEE IF YOU HAVE FAULTY PCM, FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY.IF COOLANT FAN AND ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OKAY,YOU HAVE CORRECT COOLANT LEVEL IN COOLANT SYSTEM, THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP BEEN REPLACED, YOU COULD HAVE BLOWN HEAD GASKET CHECK ENGINE OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE HEAD GASKET BLOWED ALSO WHEN HEAD GASKET BLOWED YOU CAN DRIVE CAR SHORT DISTANCE START OVERHEATING AND YOU LOOSE ENGINE POWER SUSPECT BLOWED HEAD GASKET.

The cooling system in my 1997 cadillac Eldorado keeps overheating; seems like it has too much pressure in it because it keeps blowing hoses off or all the coolant is forced out of the overflow once it gets...

This sounds like a blown head gasket. You can purchase a kit that when used per the instructions you will know for sure

that it is a blown head gasket. You might try some of the sealers that are on the market but I do not back any of these half way fixes. I was a professional Cadilliac Technician for over 30 years. FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

Bubbling water in the water tank

typically that is caused from a bad head gasket, fluid from the engine will be forces through the radiator then boils over or bubbles. As far at the no gauge reading, you probably need a new one.

My engine runs hot

Replace the thermostat . Check your coolant level. Do not run the car hot. More damage such as warped heads and head gasket damage will occur. The intake manifold gaskets can also blow. Bleed the system when refilling with antifreeze/coolant. if the fans are not turning replace the temperature control sensor located at the top of the enging near the thermostat housing.

1992 Acura Legend

I had the same problem, replaced thermostat and still didn't fix it. What did fix it was simply a thourough coolant system flush and fill. It fixed the engine temp problem. They said there was air in the coolant lines. It also fixed a idle rev in cold conditions.

1992 acura legend very weird problems

This particular model suffers with head gasket problems. I have had to replace head gaskets on several of these vehicles to solve the overheating problem. The two cylinders in the rear of the engine are the problematic ones. The head gasket goes bad in that area which sends combustion gas into the cooling system. This then creates air pockets which in turn causes the engine to run hot. The air pockets then shift and as water starts to circulate again, the temperature goes back down. This cycle repeats over and over.
Solution is to replace the head gaskets.
