1997 dodge van my radio doesnt work the fuse is good and i put another radio in and it still has no power

Do you have power at the radio?

a test light or multimeter set on audible continuity. a test ligh goes to a good ground an just check to see if power is present. a multimeter is more accurate because it tells yuo if the fuse is good or bad with or without power whereas a testlight relies on power to light and give indication.hope this helps.

If you have checked the relay module under the fans,on drivers side,and they are fine,replace the coolant sensor,and make sure all the air is bled out of the cooling system.

check allfuses inside and under hood

check the fuses under the hood, thats where the power outlet fuse is located, but also check under the dash box if radio still doesnt work after replacing fuse under the hood.

check the fuses they are under the hood

for the stereo i would suspect a loose wire just follow power wires back maybe it not earthing properly hope this helps regards Jim

Sometime the computer in car will shut down a circuit when it sees a problem even if it only occure once. You can try to disconnect the battery for at least 2 min so all sys power off (some have capacitors that mantaine a charge for short time). If a battery disconnect does not clear problem you have go to dealer and have them to clear codes and reset you modules and your preferences

did you check fuse # 14 in the underhood fuse box (power module) on the drivers side of the engine compartment?

I had this fuse go on our van. It is a 20 amp fuse...
