I have a 1995 ford taurus se, it has a transmission leak, me and my dad arent completely sure whats its caused from we jacked it up yesterday and saw that the the pan was a little loose but we had tightened it and put more fluid in. I checked it today and it still has a decent size leak, it seems as if the leak is really bad on the left side of the car right next to the wheel, any idea what to look for here?

Take a close look at where the drive shaft on that side, goes into transmission. There will be a seal that is attached to transmission & it's a good possibility that the seal is worn or damaged and leaking from there. Wipe it good and clean around that area, then take a short drive & re-inspect for leak.

Show diagram of 95 ford taurus transmission solenoids

A quick solution to this is to go to a dump and get
an exchange gearbox. They seldom go wrong and it
would be cheaper than parts.
I do not know the car very well, but if it is a steereing
column change some of the connecting rods could have
slipped off before it enters the gear box.Could be worth
following rods to box to make sure, usually joined with small
king pin but might be something else. You could join with wire
if that is what it is,and go and get the small parts you need.

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 V-6 4dr. I was told it has 3 catylytic converters that are all stopped up. I found a burnt vacuum hose behind the motor and replaced it but not sure where it goes

this car is a nightmare mechanically,i had a 2000 taurus and it isnt worth a nickle, if you arent paying on it get it running and dump it, from the heater core to theheads cracking to the transmission it will haunt you with issues, fixed the same vacuum hose on mine never knew where it went, good luck

1995 ford taurus v6 ... oil sending unit leaking.... need to replace. Is this something easy to replace?

yes, it is nothing more than a sensor located on the engine. it may be cramped for space but over all it is not a difficult fix. be sure that when replacing it you teflon tape the new unit as to prevent any leaks in the future, be sure to thread the tape in the reverse of the the threads as to not cause it to bunch up and potentially go into the engine. good luck

I got a 2002 Ford Taurus SE and yesterday it stop on me, I think my Trnsmission went out. It want go in dive or reverse. Everytime I start it up it will make a rattling sound, what is the problem.

Hello shortiep24...Check the transmission fluid with the engine running and with the vehicle in park.
If it is full of fluid, and the transmission does not engage in any gear, then it is most likely an internal problem...
The only other reason that it wouldn't move, is if you have a broken CV axle If the transmission is holding park, then that is probably not the problem.
Good luck. i hope this helps..please rate me a fixya.
