Transmission line snapped

This may be called "incidental damage".
Whenever a vehicle of any kind is hit , there can be all sorts of damage that happen that seems not to be connected to the damage. For example, getting hit in the front end can cause the rear tailgate to stop opening.
Or, getting hit in the rear end can cause the transmission to fail 4 months later.
Sounds like you have failure of some engine component, or maybe to the computer.
A really good car electrician & mechanic will be needed to find and fix the damage.

Check transmission fluid. Torque converter needs ALOT of fluid to work .

How long have you owned it? Is it possible there is a shift kit installed for towing? Was there something that was done just before it started doing this? A tune up perhaps?

The check engine light should be on. With a scanner pull the transmission control codes. and follow up on their leads speed sensers ( thiers 3 and shift soliods ( thiers 4) the connectors and the wires and more likly to be a problem than hard parts as this transmission is thris on up shifteed sllectonically

sounds like the bands are slipping or the worst case the sun ring gear has broken, in either case a rebuild is necessary. Have you tried changing the filter and fluid to see if this helps? This is a littly costly for the fluids and such but I would at least get an estimate fron a transmission shop, they might get lucky and find a bad selenoid or vacume line.

just put the transmission in neutral on the shifter, that is all the tow driver ever did with mine, just a month ago as a matter of fact.

I would take the door panel off and see if you can get the outside door handle off and try to adjust the linkages.

vacuum lines off, anti deisel selinoid stuck on or someone has the idle screw jacked way up

I would check the fluid level and make sure the fluid is red. It may need a filter change, most anything else is going to involve things inside the transmission.

ecm or pcm or both man does not sound good the fluid bothers me..
