Follow upper radiator hose. It will lead right to thermostat housing. Should have 3 bolts on it. Thermostat is inside.

Changing termostat in 2005 malibu

Follow 'Top' Hose from radiator, that Alloy body the hose is connected to is the Thermostat housing, should be 2-3 bolts (12mm?) holding it down. Unbolt that, change-over thermostat and gasket (should be supplied with Thermo). Tighten bolts back up, Hose on, fill Coolant, then your done.

No heat,defroster blows cold on 2005 malibue maxx. is it the thermostat or temp sensor?

if engine teperature gauge doesnt heat up then ur thermostat sticking open other wise probrably blend door actuator or vacuum leak behind the climate control

My 2005 malibu is taking a long time for me to get heat and it also seems that if I put it on max less heat comes out, could it be the thermostat or the coolant there is plenty of coolant in the reservoire...

follow the upper rad hose back to the motor there you will find the thermostat at the end onf the hose

if you go t the deaLer they will usually show you the location and sell you the gasket and thermostat

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. You will find the thermostat Housing you will need to take it off and then you will find the thermostat.

Go to any Advance or Autozone Store and buy the Chiltons Manual for your vehicle. They are around 19.99 and this will have every repair that you will ever need to repair anything on your car. I love theses books. They have pictures and step by step instructions. Hope this helps.

it should be located on the laft side of the motor just follow the bottom hose on your radiator cause that runs directly into the thermostat..
