Try
1-Inertia switch .
If The fuel pump switch the inertia
switch was "popped" (activated), push the reset button on the top of the switch. The fuel pump switch -sometimes called the "inertia switch" -which shuts off
fuel to the engine in the event of a collision,

2- Check the fuel pressure regulator.
by starting the car with your foot on the accelerator pedal half the way if it starts and continue running while you are holdining yore foot on and stops as soon as you take it of the accelerator then change the fuel pressure regulator it is located under hood in the rear side at top of the engine.

2000 ford excursion starts up fine after about an hour when the engine warm up and turn it off it will not restart but it seems after it cools it starts fine and go through the same process

The temperature sending unit tells the computer that the engine is cold when first started. After engine is warmed up, if the computer things engine is still now warm, it's still in cold start mode and dumping too much fuel into the engine and flooding it making it hard t start or no start at all. I'd have the temperature sending unit in the engine replaced to see if it's cured. It's separate from the gauge or light and they would show warmed up, but the computer is not getting the message.

Comfort access failure.

Sounds like they might have missed plugging the door harness in to the body, or maybe left a ground unhooked.

I have a 2000 excursion and sometimes wen I accelerate it starts chocking out at 2000 rpm and won't go any higher

Mostly your MAF MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR needs cleaning.
1st Disconnect the battery ground cable
then open the engine air cleaner.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  • Release the air cleaner clamp.
  • Separate the inlet side from the outlet side of the air cleaner.
  • Remove the MAF assembly.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  • Remove the nuts and separate the MAF sensor from the MAF sensor plate.
As shown

5_2_2012_12_14_19_pm.jpg
then follow the steps in the video.
HOW TO CLEAN A MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR

if that did not clear your engine chocking then make sure there is no Vacume leak.
hope that helps

Ford diesel excusion A/C won't cool

Any performance testing re auto A/C requires consistant engine revs highway revs eg 1800 exit ramp eg idle stop start 800revs leading to much reduced A/C compressor speed and therefore performance output .Also all testing its desirable to close the bonnet to control design air flow through the engine bay .Also check under dash passenger side air flow pos a filter on return air duct or something sucked up into paper etc .good luck!

Have a 04 excursion 6.0L diesel. have been driving it with no problems then after a rain storm it will not start. Batteries are fine, no fuses blown, but won't crank. Ideas?

When say wont crank..Do you mean it will turn over but not start,,or do you mean it wont even turn over..I work on 6.0 liters all the time,,and you really need a scanner to see if your FICM has gone bad or other electronics...Plus your high pressure oil pump could have went out..They dont really give you much warning on them engines when something goes out..
