On the 1998 Pathfinder, the fuse that powers the park lights and dash lights is located under the hood on the passenger side in the fuse/relay box. It is a 10 amp fuse #61. Test ALL fuses in the fuse box and make sure there are no missing fuses.

Testimonial: "I had checked all fused inside but did not know about the other box under the hood. Thank you. Your help much apprciated. "

Parking lights plate lights taillights and shift indicator light went out on my 95 mercury grand marquis LS. Not a spot for fuse, and changed lcm please help

But there would be a fuse for those lights, somewhere. The park/taillights and the license plate light would for sure be on the same fuse. Not sure about the shift indicator light, that might be on a separate fuse like for dash lights and/or instrument panel lights. But yes, you need to look at all your fuse panel sites again, there might be more than one under the dash, too, maybe behind the glove box or under the dash on the passenger side.

Check to see if your brake lights and rear turn signal lights work. Do they still work right? If they don't work either, there may be a ground problem with the rear lights. If still no help with the lights, one would need a voltmeter and a wiring diagram of the lights to track down the problem. Things like looking for power along the electrical path from the switch to the fuse panel to the lcm to the bulbs. First find the fuse. good luck.

Our 99 Cadillac Sevilles instrument panel is burnt out... Is this a fuse?... Or something major?

There should be a fuse for the gauges if that is what is not working. When you say burnt out.... do you mean nothing is functioning or there is no back lighting. If you are reffering to back lighting, the dash lights work in series with the park lights. Check for park lights working on the vehicle. If no park light, check fuses. If nothing working, try slapping on top of the dash area above the instrument panel to see if it starts working again

I am working on a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara the taillights and dash lights do not work I have checked all the fuses and connections that I can find any ideas thank you

id bet not. checking fuse by eye is the wrong way,
bad looking sure, are bad but good looking fuses can infact be bad.
we use a voltmeter, it never lies.
the fuse is marked, TAIL, its really parking and all dash illumination lights (dimmable too)
fuses can in fact hair line crack. a fact

if not the fuse, then its the parking system lights failure.
this system is huge, all side lights , front park, tail park
and cab., the FSM factory sevice manual covers this as does
the alldata.com pages, log in and see a real schematic.
see how park happens. from the knob to the lamps.,
some have a relay. on newer cars its works,, one computer tells other to tune on the park relay, be glad that is not your car.
eg: comm errors.

Tail lights, parking lights and dashboard lights on 2004 grand marquis are inoperative. Headlights, turn-signal lights, brake lights, hazard lights, back-up lights all work

Tail lights, parking lights and dash lights are all on the same circuit...I'd go to the fuse panel under the dash and check the fuse for those lights....usually referred to as accessory lighting in the owners manual and is usually a 10A fuse.

Hope this helps...

Cant get my 1993 nissan altima out of park

is your battery dead? turn your headlights on. do they work? if not, then the battery is dead. your car will not come out of park unless the brake lights come on. if the batterys dead, the brake lights will not come on. try a boost from another car. another solution, brake light fuse is blown.look under the dash or on driverside dash panel for fuse panel. look for a brake kight fuse that's blown. have you tryed applying the brake pedal with car off to see if the brake lights come on?hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

Check your tail light fuse, on the dodge ram the dash lights and tail lights use the same fuse so if the tail light fuse blows your dash lights will go out to alert you of no tail lights.
