Before you cut any wiring, look for the fuse that removes power from the door locks. Just pull the fuse.

1997 Ford Explorer 5.0 V8 AWD diagram of wiring in Drivers door?

do to any electrical work remove neg battery lug first
and not blow up expensive modules.
door locks dead
or door windows
or both.
?
just one door fails?
all flush checked.?
pull battery neg lug then put back the cut wire properly ,soldered and heat shrink tubing used,
then replace all blown fuses, and put back battery neg lug last?
this car uses a GEM module to direct all that, to windows
and you do not want to blow up any GEM, ok?
lets do fuse related.
F8 maxi fuse 30amp in battery junctionbox. boom
f10 same box same amps and same maxi fuse type.
fuse 10 also blows and all door locks dead too.

so when you short out wires things die
checking fuses is always first. or CB circuit breakers, none here CB.

I have a four doors on my truck & its only unlocking the front cab doors. So how can I get the rear doors to unlock.

Pull the door panel on one of the rear doors. Probe the wire(s) on the door lock actuator and see if you get 12v when the door lock switch is pressed. If you do get voltage then replace the actuators, if not, then trace the wires back checking all connectors for corrosion and all wires for cuts or shorts. If it's a newer model it could also be the body control module (computer) that controls many of the functions between switches/sensors and devices.

Disabling power door locks on 1989 Oldsmobile 98

The best way is to remove the door lock relay. this relay may be in one of these locations,
The first is the right side kick panel, the next place to look is the right side of the dash behind side cover, if no side cover then look under right side of dash.

The last place is the glove box.

I have enclosed a wiring diagram also to help you .
You will see the door lock module is also located in the same place as the relay. you can unplug module also.

IN wiring diagram you will see there is also three fuses that control parts of the door lock module, you can also remove them one at a time as you may sure that no other component is getting disabled.

I think the module or relay is the best bet. Good day.3_4_2012_1_18_41_am.gif

95 Chrysler LeBaron Electrical Problem

I have found that on this model a lot of weird electrical problems are caused from connectors pushing out of the fuse box when you push in the fuses. Pull out the fuses for these items, make sure the terminals that the fuse is pushed in to aren't pushed out the back of the box.

1989 to 1990 Powered door conversion

about the only advice i can give is that i did the same thing with a 94 probe base and a 94 gt. i had to take the whole wiring harness out of the gt and put it in the base. It starts from the inside fuse block, goes to both doors, under the front seats, all the way to the fuel pump, abs, tail lights, and pretty much everything from the dash to the rear of the car. If you can get a whole harness, it should work.

Power doors

Look under the side kick panels on each floor board and you will see a connector that goes to the power doors,(it just won't be hooked to anything since the car didn't have the power doors) you can look at the wire colors from the wires on the door and match them to the colors on the connector.(you may also have to add a fuse in the fuse box for them to be powered)

1990 Olds 98 Regency Brougham - Programming Keyless Entry

Same car same problem, but I found the plug w/two wires behind the glove box. It is on a brace on the left hand side, has a clip holding it there. Lift up on the clip and it slides off.
I jumpered those two wires, the door locks did not cycle as was in the instructions and remote still doesn't work.
Sounds to me like I'm missing power from somewhere, but where?
Hope you find your wires and they work for you.
