Where can I find the serpentine belt tensioner on a Buick Lacrosse V8 2008?

It is along the belt route. It is a 3" diameter pulley about mid engine .It is on a lever about 4" long has a big bolt head and the lever has about 2" of clearance to move back and forth. You release it by turning the counterclockwise.

What is the routing for serpentine belt for 2006 buick lacrosse

basically the grooves go on the grooved pulleys and the back of the belt runs on the idler pulleys
there are about 3 different configurations for belts as they run nor power steering / power steering, ac and no ac systems so to get a picture you will have to comment on what is running and the motor size

According to Dayco, this is it. Give a quick holler if this doesn't make sense, sometimes they get it wrong. Engine code is always nice to make sure.

How to change serpentine belt on 2006 buick lacrosse

Start by drawing a diagram of the belt routing. Serpentine belts normaly have 1 spring loaded tensioner (1 pully will have a nut or 3/8 or 1/2 inch drive hole) That will be the tensioner. get spanner or ratchet to fit & lever the tensioner away from the belt. Remove belt. fit new belt to most pullys except the easiest to get to, lever the tenioner back & fit the belt to the last pully, Check the belt is on all pullys properly & your done

BELT ROUTING FOR 2005 BUICK LACROSSE 3.8 MOTOR

Hello, I'm Tony and thank you for the opportunity to assist you. You have two choices on your vehicle for belt drives. You can go off of the Vin or more simply weather or not you have a super charger on your vehicle as well. The super charger has two belts. So you either have one belt which is the first diagram or two belts which is the second diagram.

Below is the diagram for the serpentine belt. It comes off by simply putting a wrench or long ratchet or belt tool on the bolt indicated and releasing the tention off the belt that way.

Below is the diagram for the engine with the super charger as well.

I am trying to install the serpentine belt and can't seem to get it back on the car.

Make sure that you received the correct length belt.
If the belt is correct, confirn the correct belt routing.
Then you may need a "longer" wrench to help pull your tensioner out of the way.

Once again, is this what you needed? Both of the answers you received answered your question, it seems crazy that you would describe them as not helpful. If we had the wrong engine code and the diagram didn't show your pulley arrangement, just answer and give us more detail on your engine and we can get you the right diagram.
