Definitely problem with gaskets if there is no hole in the body of the car. You mentioned your rear lock then check the gasket around the lock.

SOURCE: remove third row in 2006 odyssey

hi
its difficult to remove third row seat but either by pumping hot air to it or by sucking out the water by water ****** sponge. if its necessary to remove then better to take the car to an autorised service station

Hear water sloshing around behind

is your spare tyre located under the trunk carpet ? if so i expect that the tyre well is filled with water , has the accident damage been repaired yet ? if not then thats how water is getting in so get the repair done , if has been repaired take back to the repairer , the usual place after a repair to leak is where the rear bumper/fender is bolted to the body , these bolts need sealing as they are when vehicle is manufactured

Hi I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey and have found water leaking in the car on the drivers side and passenger (not as bad) also in the back behind driver, all seals are good mechanic checked it all looked good,...

I would have all your weather stripping checked around your windows and doors (rubber pieces around windows and doors). If it is not pushed up in the slot like its supposed to be that could cause a leak. Hope this helps, James Booth. Please rate this. :)

Tailgate cylinders broke?? hard to open and heavy door.. Slams shut..thank

Hi,
I hate holding the heavy door while trying to load or unload...ha.
Autozone sells these cylinders. They aren't expensive, nor are they difficult to install.
I hope this helps you. Good luck!

Replacing tailgate cylinders

Look on ebay for new replacements, they come with instructions. Ball and socket type joint and you spread or slide a clip to release the ball. New ones go on same way.

The tailgate on my 2007 Honda Odyssey lost all pneumatic (?hydraulic) lift. It is a manual tailgate, not one of the automatic ones. If I lift the tailgate it just free-falls if I let go. This happened...

You have to replace the lift supports on the rear door, found at this link:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PartSearchCmd?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&pageId=partTypeList&suggestion=&searchTerm=lift
Or at your local parts store or ebay.
Be careful not to drop it into you or drop it to hard and brake the glass.
I would see if there are any recalls on this for your model and vin number too. Your vehical seems kind of new for this to happen already, but it is possible.
Here are some links to recalls:

2005 Honda Odyssey Tailgate Problem

Try to reset the tailgate by removing the no.7 (7.5 amp) fuse in the underdash fuse box. Open and close the tailgate manually, reinstall the fuse, and try the open tailgate button. If that doesn't work you would have take it to the dealer, where they can check for DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes). Honda Al
