There are 3 fuse boxes in a Volvo S80.

The fuses for the low beam headlights could be in either 3.

Refer to the website below, where it shows a 2012 Volvo S80, which should be similar to the 2008 model for dismantling the fuse box.

the trunk light fuse will be the same fuse as the glove box and interior lights

It can be the TCM (transmission control module) also known as the transmission's computer. Yes I do suspect the same and will surely resolve the problem.

its supposed to do that, its a gas mileage/transmission wear thing. there is a reprogram that only the dealer can perform that will make it less noticable. but it is no harm, unless the car wont go when you press on the gas

most likely the dealer. unless you have a vag com (for VW n Audi) system or similar system to what the volvo dealers use to check for engine codes

thats because your regular key probably has an electic connection to the car so go to your volvo dealer and they should be able to clear anything up or replace it with a key that will work

Sounds like your Electronic Throttle System Software needs replacing. Contact an authorized Volvo dealer shop.
There's a recall so it will be no charge.

This is a known problem although Volvo will not admit it. The dash needs to come out (10 min job) and sent away for a simple repair. Total cost is about £150 but you will need to get the SRS warning that will be showing in the LED message display cancelled by a Volvo dealer after the dash has come back. Don't try a scrapyard dashboard the ECUs have IP addresses. I used a company in Kent to do the repair. Get onto Google there may be a repairer more local.
