If it turns over fast enough to start you might have a ignition problem or a fuel delivery problem (fuel pump). If it is turning over slow you probably have a bad alternator or battery. First check all your fuses and go from there. To see if the fuel pump is turning on, just turn on the ignition and listen for a buzz or whine from the fuel tank area and if you do not hear anything chances are that you need a fuel pump if you hear it turn on then off you have fuel and then you need to verify if you have spark from the ignition system which should be done by a professional because of the high voltage from the coil. Hope this helps.

My van won't start after driving a short distance, it will start again after 3 to 5 minutes but then will act like it's going to stall while I'm driving. What's wrong?

Hi Greg, I'm AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair in St Charles Mo

Greg, I read your complete message, but nowhere did I see that you replaced the Cam Sensor. The EGR will cause it to stall at stops but usually will not prevent it from restarting. I would try replacing the Cam Sensor before anything else. If you should need further assistance go to my website by clicking here: Auto Repair

I was on the expressway, and while driving at about 50mph I heard a loud noise sounding like tools dropped and then the Van stalled and the engine cut off. After trying to re-start the Van, It has a start...

did you have oil in it? you may have blown a rod, that's what it sounds like. check and see if there is oil in it be fore restating it because you can blow your engine..

Battery died got jump then van started then stalled and turns over but wont start code 12 and 42 with key on off on ect...replaced pcm, coil pack and crank sensor.

Sounds to me like you need to repair or replace the alternator,if the van will run as long as the jumpers are in place and the other vehicle remains running then i am sure that you problem will go away with the replacement alternator or you have a wiring issue to the alternator.
