How do I get to the radiator drain plug?
Great news for you, the best way to drain the radiator is to remove the lower radiator hose. The bad news is that OEM radiator came with no drain plug and you can have one put in after you remove the radiator to drill a hole and tap in a $6.00 radiator drain plug for NAPA auto parts. Good luck and hope this helps. this was a way for GM to save money by one less parts to have make, since most auto mechanic just remove the lower radiator hose to drain the radiator. Good luck and hope this helps. If your luck and your Astor does have one, you can find the drain plug on the lower drivers side of the radiator, engine side.

I have a 99 Astro & my drain plug is on the passenger side. Look for the small drain tube at the bottom of the plastic tank. The turn knob is right above it.

The textbook method is to remove the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.
Most drain plug ismake of inexpensive nylon/plastic and it may fall apart while you turn it.
The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.
