Remote door opener on 2002 elantra gl does not work. The fuse is blown and I cannot locate it.

Sounds like a wiring issue, either power or ground. Try looking at your fuses for a blown one. Best way is to pull one fuse at a time look at it then replaced it and go to the next one. If you find a blown one replace it with the same size fuse.

check and see if you have a blown a fuse. in the fuse box under the hood. also see if there is a relay under there also. If so swap it with a nother one that is the same under there. also there is a fuse box located inside. there might be a blown fuse there also. Good luck.

The first thing to do would be to hook up a factory or professional type scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . This vehicle has very complex electronic's. Serial data communication network,class2 data bus . There are electronic modules inside the door's that control the lock's ,power window's , power mirror's . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop . Not a fuse problem , driver an passenger door module each have thier own power supply. Two circuit breakers ,PWR/WDO circuit breaker 30 amp. You could check DRVMDL 10amp fuse ,located in the rear fuse box , PASSMDL 10amp fuse rear fuse box , RRDR/MDL 10 amp fuse rear fuse box . Rear fuse box is under the back seat . None of the window's , lock's etc.. work from any door switch ?

I had a very similar situation. Was very annoying not being able to unlock or lock doors from pannel control nor from remote.
Only driver door can be opened with manual key.

Solution: One of the 15 amp purple fuses was blown. Fuses are located inside glove compartment, the interior end has to be removed releasing the two locks.
Use a light and the red tool located on the panel to remove fuses.

replace battery inside the remote or the main fuse of the alarm is blown.

when the alarm is going off, use the key to lock and then unlock the front passenger door lock.

It definately sounds like a fuse is blown. Aside from the underhood fuse panel there should be one inside the passenger compartment. Look on the side of the dash with the front doors open, for a removable panel. If not there then under the drivers side dash or side kick panels( on the bottem side where you place your feet), those are commen places for interior fuse panels. If you still have your owners manual it will give you exact locations.

Then 1, bulbs are burned out
OR 2, the wiring is faulty.
