My 1999 Avalon has Climate Control, however it seems to be getting stuck on either heat or A/C. It can be manually switched under the hood but it seems that the mechanism for switching between the two may be bad. Can't find enough detail in the Haynes book to repair. Any ideas what needs to be done?

SOURCE: Trunk latch (electric) does not work on Avalon Touring

Your trunk master switch is probably off. Open the glove box, and, on the driver side of the glove box, the trunk master switch is located there. If this is activated, the remote and the dash switch are deactivated. Please repost if this does not solve your problem.

Hi I have a 2000 grand cherokee ltd I am having problems with the climate controll not working no fan also the transmission seems to jump and the check engine lite comes on periodicaly do I need to change...

for the transmission I would check the fluid level and add fluid, the climate control may be a fuse or the switch, you will need to check the fuses inside and under the hood as it may be located in the two, to check control switch mark wires and take out and inspect switch. Hope this helped Tim

your owners manual will identify the fuse to check. If you don't have the manual, you can get one online at gm. If the fuse is good, check the blower connection for water/corrosion. If connector looks good, check it for voltage from the switch. If voltage is getting to the motor, replace the motor.

1999 grand cherikee dual heating zone 1 side hot passanger side cold

If the heat control system is operated by small vacuum hoses, check the hoses under the hood and under the dash at the heater control. The hoses control "doors" or large air-valves which direct heated air. Sometimes the hoses break or become disconnected, and sometimes the doors get stuck.

Air Function In Honda Accord Wagon - not working

Check your fuse box for any blown or old fuses. Could be under the hood in your fuse box or under the dash inside the car. Check to see "visually" without the car running or power on, for any damaged wires or connections throught your climate control system. I dont know the history of your car but if any wires were cut by chance from someones negligence" installing a stereo or other accesories" may have led to this. Perhaps it could simply be the fan switch for the climate control or a relay switch gone bad.
