How to install serptine belt fir 2002 solara - 2003 Toyota Camry

Go to the parts store and they can fix you up with a cp bypass belt. I had to do the same thing.

The diagram is located on a sticker under the hood.
it may be on a support or the upper radiator , even up on the underside of the hood.
Start the belt at the crank pully / Harmonic ballancer and have the tensioner pully threaded in , leaving the top most pully to slide the belt onto last...

It's not uncommon for a new belt to require re-tightening soon after it's been replaced. Check the belt for any excessive slack (shouldn't have more than 1/2 -3/4" ). A loose belt would be one possible cause for the loud noise you describe.

Chilton or Haynes manual will have all the pics you can stand on this, they can be bought at most auto parts stores, also check your local library they will surprise you with how many repair manuals they have

The front seatblet retractor springs have weakened. Unfortunatly, there are no "user serviceable parts" on them. They would have to be replaced. How many miles is on it? If you have low mileage, the Toyota Customer Experience Center may provide you some assistance, as the belt replacements are quite expensive. I'd call the CEC and explain your dilemma.
