It is most likely your brake light switch. The wiring from the brake light switch goes to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch is centered both brake lights are connected, unless the switch is faulty. When the switch is to the left only the right light is connected to the brake light switch and vice versa. A bad switch can cause all kinds of problems with the brake lights as well as the turn signals.
To replace, locate the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal (on the mounting bracket). Unplug the connector. Loosen the locking nut and remove the switch. Install the switch and adjust the height so the switch activates at the right position. Reconnect the connector and check for proper function.

I have a 93 Ford f150 taillights don't work. The turn signals work, brake lights work, back up lights work, just don't have taillights. fuses, bulbs are all good. Can you give me an answer.

Did you check and ground, anywhere? Usually the front and rear park lamps are the same. Do the front park lamp works? The circuit usually goes hot when you turn on the head lamp switch. Did you check applicable fuses for voltage? Use a test lite to check voltage.
If front park lamps work, I don't think it is the fuse, probably the wiring circuit going to the rear.

Did you check the park fuse, or the orange wire going into the headlight switch for power ?

My 2003 Pontiac Vibe tail lights do not work. The brake lights work. I checked the tail fuse. Turn signals work also. Why no tail lights?

Your turn signal lights and brake lights are the same lights . Question : do the front parking lights work ? The front and rear running lights or parking lights are all on the same circuit and fuse . If the front lights work , and the rear lights don't , make sure the bulbs are good first . If OK , I would suspect the problem is either a bad ground in the rear taillight wiring harness or a bad connection in the rear taillight connector Itself .

Tail lights do not work. Bulbs are good. Both fuses are good(separate cicuits). What else could it be? Is there a relay involved? Could the switch be defective? thanks! Mike

All the exterior lights run threw the turn signal switch. Except the high mount brake light. If you are talking about brake lights replace the TS switch. Parking lights are a little different. If you have no parking lights front and back, TS switch. If you have front and no back, ground problem. Grounds for the back are usually on the drivers side mounted to the frame.

1998 Lincoln Town Car: No turn signals, 4 way flash, brake lights

If only your brake light in middle of rear window works then your other bulbs are bad. If brake lights all work in the back than bulbs are good. If you put turn signal on right or left and the bulbs light in front and back then you need to change multifunction light control box under dash. My understanding is it cost $600 new. So I would try used.
