Need help to position the lower filters beneath the air filter

How to change the air filters for a 1991 6 cylinder Chrysler Le Baron LX with diagrams?
I just went to change the filter, and found that beneath the large air filter is an area for the two hoses on the bottom of the filter box. I found just a small filter cube stuck in the bracket. The tech at Auto Zone found that a larger filter pad also belongs there. I have the bracket to hold them both, but am not sure how to position them.
(I usually have Haynes books for my cars, but this is a friends car, and I don't have a book for assistance)
I would certainly would appreciate some advise and help to do a job 'well-done', especially for my gal!

get a factory manual, forget the Haynes, it is a total waste of money.

One is a PCV filter the other is maybe the A.I.R. filter. just get them both and see how they fit the best. its not real critical.

You might try changing the fuel filter, most likely the fuel pump is going out and will need to be replaced.

MY LE BARON HAD BAD SPARK PLUG WIRES. I HAD PUT IN A NEW IGNITION MODULE SINCE THE WIRES WERE "LIFETIME" AFTERMARKET ONES. CHECK YOUR FUEL FILTER. I ALSO HAD GOTTEN SOME BAD GAS (NEVER FILL UP WHEN THE TANKER IS AT THE GAS STATION).

Chrysler le baron 1991 3.0 V6

If all you did was remove the pan and service it then 3 and 3/4 liters will fill it. If it was rebuilt and has no fluid at all then it will take 8 and 1/2 liters

Fuel pump makes a stuck up noise, or maybe the fuel filter

|Hi there.
Niall In General Auto repair in Ireland here.
Maybe the fuel pump has broken and needs to be replaced.
Take it out and bench test it if it works remove the fuel filter and turn the ignition on but not the engine and see if fuel is being pumped up maybe it is only a blockage .
I Hope this helps.
