Hi there, Best thing to do is buy a Haynes or Clinton's repair shop manual at your local AP store for your particular vehicle. Then read up on it in the trouble shooting section or the step by step RR section. You can purchase these at your local Auto Parts store or buy them on line at ebay burdfrenzy

How do you replace front the wheel bearing?

Remove the caliper and rotor, undo the axle, ball joint and the two strut bolts, and take the entire knuckle off. The hub is pressed off, then a circlip removed to press the bearing out. You need a hydraulic press to do this job.

Hi there I want to know if the cv axle of 1994 subaru svx is the same with the cv axle of impreza, legacy or forester? Thanks

Wrong place to ask

You look on parts web sites
You look at auto part sites
You may at a salvage yard get cross reference data
Auto Parts Store if want to may look up several vehicles
to answer that

What you NEVER do is install any used part in any vehicle

What you do is go to Rock Auto.Com & buy a new or reman
& install it

No reason to even get into this

Just buy a new part, you do not want used in a
drive axle & have an unsafe vehicle

You have to know the year and specific model of your SVX. Any Subaru parts department will look up the part number and also tell you if it is the same part as other models. They may work with you over the phone.

Hi there I want to know if the SVX cv axle is same axle as the impreza, legacy and forester? Thanks

Yes the early subaru's all use the same front and rear axles
Fronts are easy to change. rears are not.
The only difference in the early style axles that use pin on inner joints are the outer joints with abs rings.

1990 subaru legacey

Since yours is front wheel drive, simply detach the diff from the chassis. Open up the diff which consists of two halves. The transmission axe has a spider bearing assembly held by four bolts. On opening the top half of the diff, you will be able to separate the rear axle shaft.......sodeep

Replacing the front axle on a 93 subaru legacy

When I replace the axle halves, I run the Nut off till it is level with the shaft end. THen take a piece of wood and set it across the shaft and hit the wood with a hammer. Usually only takes one or two hits and pops right out. Then I remove the nut and finish removal . Hope this helps, Good luck and have a great day.
