Inside the wiper motor, once you take the black cover off (3 screws, torx head) pull the wiper board straight out. EASY ; )

I'm looking for a windshield wiper/washer/pulse wire diagram for a 1996 Chevy Silverado

1988 to 1996 should be pretty much the same. A very common issue with these years are the printed circuit board on the wiper motor itself.

My wipers work when they want to don't always work when it's raining. Is there a recall on the windshield wiper motor for a 1997 Chevy Blazer?

I don't believe there is a recall but I've replaced a lot of the wiper control modules [glorified circuit board] on top of the wiper motor for similar problems. Something in the circuit board goes bad and causes the wipers to malfunction randomly. There are other things that can cause wipers not to work but I'd look there first

Need to know how to replace the windshield wiper motor

First remove the wiper arms. Then remove the screws that hold the black plastic grill, you will see the motor. You will need then to disconnect the wiper arm transmission linkage from the motor, then remove the three bolts holding the motor on, dont't forget to disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.Install in reverse order.Good luck.

Windshield wipers will not turn off - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado

Fixed the wiper problem which was identical to Brad's by changing out the wiper module which is also called a pulse module or something of that nature. Pretty easy fix. You have to remove the grill that the wiper blades protrudes from in order to get to the motor (4 clips in front which can be removed by hand, remove radio antenna, a center push down retainer, two plastic end caps which pop off and then 1 star type screw on each end under the end caps). Getting the blades off seemed difficult. I used a small puller to pop them off after removing the nuts.

You can't buy this module at a regular parts store. I had to get it from the dealer so be prepared to spend $130 to $140 for the part or go to the salvage yard. Works great now.
