My 1988 Chevy Celebrity is won't change gears

My 1988 Chevy Celebrity is stuck in neutral. I step on the gas while in drive and after about 5 seconds, it jerks into gear.

Probably a T-50. Due to the use of Locktite on these bolts, an impact wrench will be required. Do not use Locktight when reinstalling these bolt. Just get them tight ( 1/2 in. drive ratchet)

1988 chevy celebrity No fuel to the carberator.

without starting the engine position the key to the on position.
you can hear the fuel pump operationing for 4 to 6 seconds upon having the key on.
if not heard running check the fuel pump fuse, the fuel pump relay, and the engines oil pressure switch.
they all work the pump you see
the engine oil pressure switch runs the pump untill the engine reaches normal pressure
once the pressure is reached to the normal range the computer shuts that circuit off and turns the fuel pump relay on

ask the local junkies bet they can move it in seconds ,should be some little holes behind the facia and you push a small thin screwdriver in to release the retaining spring
