With the ignition switch turned to the ON position, DO NOT
start engine....The fuel pump should operate for a few seconds and then
stop. It does this as soon as it reaches its correct operating
pressure. This is controlled by the pressure sensor on the fuel rail at
the engine.This is normal. The pump does NOT operate again until the
engine is started up and some fuel goes through the injectors As
soon as the engine starts the fuel pressure drops, the pump should
start pumping again.
