This is caused in most cases by a defective fuel pump, disconnect the pump connector at the top of the fuel tank, if the short stops replace the fuel pump inside te gas tank.

Keep blowing Fuel pump fuse 95 Buick Park Avenue

You may have a short in wiring to fuel pump. Try this! remove the wires from fuel pump, then turn key to start the car briefly. If the fuse does not blow, its likely the fuel pump is drawing to much current and blowing the fuse. God-Bless!

1999 Toyota camry. Automatic trans. Blows fuel pump fuse when shifting into drive. Checked wiring. What else can it be?

Robert: According to CarGurus.com: " I agree it may not be your fuel pump. You can access the pump under your back seat, underneath the cloth under there. You will iummediately see the plug and the screws to open the little hatch. My 1986 Camry also has a problem with not getting any fuel and thought it was the fuel pump. turns out I keep blowing my efi fuse so i unplug the power wires to the fuel pump and it still keeps blowing the 51a efi fuse. So we have narrowed it down to being an electrical problem. We think it is a shortage or a bad relay. So do not instantly run out and think it is your fuel pump. If you are blowing fuses unplug the power wires to the fuel pump and try to crank the car if the fuse still blows then it is not a bad pump, if it does not blow then there is a shortage in the wires in your fuel pump. Hope this helps I will let you know exactly what the elctrical problem is in my car once we do a complete run down."

1997 GMC Sierra, I keep blowing the ECM 1 fuse, I replaced Fuel Pump relay and Fuel Filter. Does the ECM 1 Fuse Pump the Fuel Pump, also disconnected the Fiter turned on the key and no fuel.

ecm1 is injectors not fuel pump ecm-b is fuel pump its more likely to be a faulty relay for the injectors, it would be a similiar design to this
12900_oil_sending_unit_and_fuel_pump_circuit_80-yoo05im5qhid2i2poe1uh03c-5-0.gif this is for the fuel system, relay for the injector is nearly the same.

1987 Chevy silverado gauge / idle fuse keeps blowing

The 20amp ga/idle fuse powers a hot fuel module which powers the oil pressure switch, the fuel pump relay, and the fuel gauge in the tank.
Any of the four components including the fuel pump can blow the fuse.

Fuse keeps blowing!

The fuel injection fuse should also power the injectors. If the fuse is blowing, I would think one of the injectors has shorted to ground.
Have you checked them ?

Keeps blowing fuse to pump when key is turned on

I assume you mean Fuel pump. If this is the case you have a short in one of the wires going back to the fuel pump. Check the wires you can see, if you find no shorts or breaks replace the fuel pump.

Keep blowing 20 amp fuse to fuel pump when turning on sunfire

Fuel pump relay is bad or fuel pump is bad (sometimes the pump seizes) and creates a load thats blowing the fuse.If both are good then there's a short in the fuel pump circuit.
