Does the dimmer switch work properly? If yes, have you replaced BOTH flasher relays? if yes, then it sounds like you have a short in your wiring harness. You're going to have to chase the connectors with a multimeter. It's tedious but rewarding work. Best of luck!

I have a 1990 dodge shadow I replaced the turn signal ***.& the flasher ,bulbs & fuse I have flashers but no turn signal I am stumped

i assume you mean that you have hazard flashers work and not the signals.there are two flasher units on the car.one is for the hazards and the other is for the turn signals.they look exactly the same but have there own circuits.it sounds like you changed the hazard flasher thinking it was the signal flasher.you need to look for the flasher unit and change it.it should be on the fuse panel or under the dash in the same general area.

Installed new headlights assemblys. turn signals

check once more the front turn bulbs, connections, fuse if front and rear have a separate one. Once you connect the front turn signal, blinking frequency should normalize.

1990 dodge shadow - no power to dome light

Hello Flisa,
I am assuming the fuse is good. Rotate the bulb. If it still doesn't work:

  • Check the door jamb switches. If they are stuck in, the light may not work.
  • Check the dimmer switch (good walkthrough at http://shadrachandsharky.blogspot.com/2010/02/replacing-your-car-headlight-switch.html)
  • Test the circuit.
Page 12-26 of the Haynes Manual (www.haynes.com)
ISBN 1 56392 185 5
has a wiring diagram.

Best of luck!

Replacing front turn signal socket on 1990 dodge shadow

Okay. Hook black to black.
Green to green with white stripe.
Yellow to red with white stripe.
That should work. Nothing is going to blow up if it's wrong. It just won't work.

My right turning signal sometimes doesnt work. The light in the dash stays on, but doesnt flash. When this happens the front light stays on when the signal is applied, but the back one doent work. Ive...

  1. Turn 4 way (hazard) lights on check to see that all lights are flashing if rear is not flashing suspect bad ground since 4way usually goes through brake light.
  2. If everything flashes you may have a bad flasher relay find it replace it.
  3. If light still will not flash check light socket by removing bulb & looking for burnt melted contacts or plastic. You find any of these problems consider replacing socket.
  4. If you do not find any problems with socket use a cheap test prob connect alligator clip to metal ground near socket with bulb out turn on blinker carefully touch each contact inside socket when you find the right contact prob should light up & blink.
  5. If you cannot get prob to blink move prob ground to new location do step 4 again.
  6. If you still get no blink start probing wires coming into socket until prob lights working away from socket.
  7. Ground is on the side of the socket when you look in it.

Signal lights not working

You either have two bad bulbs or the fuse for the turn signals is blown out.
