As long as all the fuses are good.. its probably the blower resistor/module... located next to the blower motor under the pass. side of the dash..

Hi - I just came across your reply the blower resistor - is there any easy way to determine if the problem is the resistor or the blower motor itself?

yes you can apply 12 volts dc power to the male pins on the blower motor after removing the connector and observing polarity of the wires so you know which pin is the ground (negative which is the black wire, positive the red) and which one is the positive. you can use some small alligator clips and apply power and ground to the male pins on the blower motor (you can use a 12vdc battery or get power from the side of the instrument panel junction under the side plastic panel) If the blower motor is fine it will operate at full speed when power is applied. You can also check for power (test light or multimeter) at the female pins that plug into the blower motor to see if power is making it through the resistor module. If you have power at that connector and the blower motor will not turn on after jumping power to the two terminals, than you know the blower is at fault.

Take cover. Off of motor under pass side dash and you'll see a square device with wires coming out of it plugged in to the blower motor. Visually inspect the resistors on the device and see if there intact. Mine rusted the resistor legs and there was no connection. You could use a test light to make sure your getting power at each resistor. Each resistor controls a different speed on the dial. Hope this helps

I have a 2003 chevy tahoe Lt the air works in front and with back controls but heat is only working in the front it blows with back controls but puts out no heat what causes this?

Your climate system can only cool or heat but not both. The temperature has a big effect on this. The cooling needs the compressor.

Check control switches, power and grounds, and the 'blend door' operation. If you have a 'no heat' condition throughout the vehicle you should look to make sure the heater core is not plugged, and that the thermostat is operating properly, and that the coolant/antifreeze level is within spec.

Chevy 2005 tahoe z71 blows cold air in back but hot air in front

Just got an answer from Chevy Dealer. When you replaced the battery it loses its memory as to where the door actuators were (the flaps that control the heat and A/C).

The fix:
Turn everything off and let the car sit overnight. The computer should reset itself during its learnings process.
In the morning turn on the ignition and let the car run for a few minutes before turning on the climate control.

If this doesn't work, plan on 1-1.5hours of labor for a technician to reset the actuators at the dealership.

Good luck.

The drivers side AC vents of my 2005 chevy tahoe started blowing hot air today. The rest of my air conditioning is running fine (passenger side and rear vents). Is this a thermostat issue and is it...

More than likely the problem is with one of the blend doors or its actuator motor inside the HVAC unit in the dash. The repair involves a partial disassembly of the dash to access the parts. This definitely not a thermostat issue.

THE PROBLEM IS NOT A FUSE, IT IS THE REAR SEAT AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL BLEND DOOR THAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.
