Open your hood. The EGR valve is attached to the metal emissions tube above the intake manifold and next to the firewall. It is a round, metal cylinder with a rubber vacuum hose running from the top of the valve.
if there pipes or tubes on top of your exhaust manifold that is where your EGR valve should be. if you want diagrams or text to help fix this problem i suggest the book from Chilton. they tend to explain thing pretty well.
The EGR solenoid is located towards the rear of the car from the EGR vavle and slightly towards the center. It kind of stands on end. There is a vacuum line coming out the top (port C) and a green 2 wire connector plugged into it. Hope this helps.
hi, most of the time when these lights come on, its because of some sort of sensorfailure. if you are not experiencing any noises or tapping in the engine compartment, this is only a failed sensor. you will have to get it diagnosed by the computer to know what specific sensor it may be. i suspect maybe a O2 sensor or egrvalve. this is minor but, you Will need to get this repaired if possible.
