The "read-ahead" memory cache is too short.
Not much you can do, short of replacing the player; however:
Does your CD player support playing MP3's?
Convert your Audio music CD's to MP3.
The same audio music is "smaller" in MP3 format than audio format. More of the song can fit in the memory cache so it is less likely to "run out" of mermory and skip.

Why when I put a CD in the player it comes up with check CD and wont play this happens even if I put a brand new CD in

One of 3 things will keep a cd from reading.

There is a home switch that the laser pickup hits when you first insert a cd, so if the switch goes bad.

Then the cd spins and the laser focuses. So if the motor goes out it will not spin.

And if the laser can not focus or is not emitting light.

You can try a cleaner disk in case it is just a dirty lens. the other problems will require the unit to be opened up and parts tested.

04 accord cd skip

If it's a stand alone unit meaning it's located other than in the dash, probably the trunk? What will happen to CD players that makes this happen is the shaft that the pick up laser rides along while playing will end up becoming covered in tiny dust and dirt particles which will cause the lube that is on there to dry up and it will not track smoothly. If you've noticed that it does it at about the same place on the disks . Usually the beginning to middle will show these problems most. Also check to see if the unit is properly installed, they have directional dampening block in them and have to be configured to absorb shocks. If It's doing it in either in dash or Outboard the best thing to do is to take it apart and re-lubricate those shafts that catty the laser and also clean off the eye of the laser with clean filtered water and a microfiber cleaning cloth or tipped cleaner. I'm sure this will improve the reproduction greatly and also remedy the poor tracking that is caused from age and being outside with dust and dirt flying everywhere. The best type of lubricant to use is Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline applied with a Q-Tip to all moving parts.

Hyundai i30 cd player

hi Squeakylyssa .This goes for all cd players.
If a CD is skipping, first ensure that the disc is working properly by checking to see if it plays on another device. If so, you'll have to uncover the problem in your CD player. Some common problems include: broken parts in the device, physical damage to the CD player, dirt within the player or, most commonly, damage to the lens.
Before you do anything with the CD player, it is important to remove the batteries and disconnect the device from any power source. Wait half an hour before you begin cleaning the device.
Use a lens cleaner to clean your CD player's lens properly. Unscrew the top cover of the player and locate the laser lens, which is located just adjacent to the central disc drive. Place a small amount of your cleansing solution on a cotton swab or other applicator that came with a lens cleaning kit; as an alternative to lens cleaner, you can also use isopropyl alcohol. Rub the cotton swab in very light and small circles against the lens until it is clear. Allow the lens to dry, and then proceed to test the CD player. If the CD player is still skipping after the lens has been cleaned, there is likely a hardware problem that needs to be solved.

A CD player has a few hardware components that may be causing your discs to skip. Unscrew and open the case of the CD player to locate the read head and potentiometer. Depending on the type of device you have, you may need to remove the bottom cover to gain access to the soldered side of the electronics board - if so, you will need to remove the whole board before you can proceed. In single-play designs, you should be able to find 3 or 4 screws that need to be removed to enable you to take out the whole optical deck. There may also be a grounding contact under the deck held in with one screw. Make sure you replace this exactly as you found it.
If your player spins for some time without finding the list of tracks and keeps returning some kind of error message once you place a CD in the player, there is a most likely a problem with the read head. The read head is represented by a small square piece that has a plastic disc sitting on top of it. Using a flathead screwdriver, adjust the plastic disc to realign the read head. This process requires you to plug in the device and hit play and stop until these adjustments fix the CD player. Make sure to put the case back on the CD player each time you test it to avoid any electrical shocks.
The potentiometer, which is positioned directly above the laser, may also be misaligned. Usually this is represented by a small square piece that has a plastic disk on top. The disk has a slot adjustable using a small flat head screwdriver. Before making any adjustments, mark the current position of the potentiometer using an indelible marker pen so that it can be returned to its initial position if need arises. You will need to gently adjust the potentiometer and locate the position where the CD player recognizes the disk again and plays it without skipping. Since this is more of a trial and error process, small rotations of plus/minus 30 degrees of rotation are usually recommendable. For safety, put the case back on the CD player each time you test. If you are happy with the performance after the adjustment then put the case back on and you are ready to rock.

Cd player skips on new and old cds.used cleaners wipes.

The most common cause is dust on the laser. They make laser cleaning discs to solve this problem. If that doesn't work you have a mechanical problem and it needs to be serviced or replaced.

How can I fix dvd player in my jeep? it says cannot read disk. or disk read error. Does it need to be cleaned and do they make a cleaner disk you can just put in it?

I some times get that error when the cd or dvd is dirty or scratched. If your cd's/dvd's are scratched, the best way to fix them is with a good liquid car polish. With a soft cloth, rub the entire surface with the polish. working from the center out to the edge. Do not go in a circular motion. Let the polish dry then wipe it off and buff with a clean soft cloth. An old cotton sock works great. Some cd's are beyond repair, but if the scratches are minor, this will work. There is also a disc you can buy that will 'clean" the inside of the cd player. Radio Shack should have them.

I began receiving an error message that says disk read error, the disk is clean no scratches, the door is also fully closed. Any assistance is appreciated

This is a problem with your car cd player correct?

dust often gets in these players and sits on the laser, you might try purchasing a laser lens cleaner at most any store that sells blank cd media.
the disk has small brushes on it that safely brush the dust off from the lens.
