NEED A RADIO CODE FOR A VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT 2001

Well code 11 means the computer thinks the cam timing is too far advanced, which could be a timing belt issue.
Code 34 is supposed to be a problem with the turbo if your car has one.
Trouble codes seldom mean a sensor has failed.

got me here only ever seen a 4 digit ,try entering the first number with the first NO1 button then you press the am/fm button and it changes and the seconde one flashes then do the same with the NO1 button ,think it may be another button and not the am/fm one ,AFT or something ,just cannot remember as its not the sort of thing i do every day or better still ask in the dealers they will know their own models

It may be written in the spare tire well of the trunk,or you can call the dealer with your VIN and see if they have it on file.Failing these,in many cases the 4 digit code is on a sticker on the body casing of the radio itself but removing it from the dash can be tricky for a novice.There are tools available to unlock the corners of the radio.Best of luck..

Go to any VW dealer, tell them you took your battery out to recharge it over night and forgot about the code. they will get the code for you, this shoudl be free of charge, I did just that :)

normally have 2 press the rds button and the tps button at same time then enter code

F 37 under the dash on the side by the steering wheel... there are actually three there... it's the upper most one.

No the vin number has nothing to do with the radio code the dealer has a automated phone number they call and tells them how to retrieve a code and the manufature gets the unlock code from this,try to google radio unlock procedure for the vw passat.

Passat 97 need to re-enter code ( 4 ) digit, however it shows the number 2 on the on screen when the radio is turned on.

Metra makes a preamp harness that you can use if you have the partial Bose system. My A4 had that (where the front speakers were run off of the headunit with speaker-level feed, but the deck put a line level signal to a rear amp to power the speakers). This harness would let you use the aftermarket deck with your factory speakers, if you have the partial Bose system. Best bet is to do a Google search for "Metra 2001 Passat" or something like that and I'm sure it'll show up.
