SOURCE: how to change/remove an alternator belt on a 1998
There is a tensioner in the front of the motor. It looks like a pulley on an arm. The front of the tensioner has a square spot. You can get on that with a 3/4" or I think a 19mm wrench. Rotate the whole thing counter clockwise. This will release the tension on the belt. With your other hand, or an assistant slide the belt off of the alternator pulley. You can let the tensioner down now. Go easy because it will go further than it was before. You dont want to loose any skin off of your knuckles!
There should be a belt routing diagram under there somewhere. Run it around everything else then pull it up to the alternator pulley again. Again pull the tensioner up. Slip the belt onto the pulley and let go. Get a light and make sure that the belt is completely on all of the pulleys. It is possible to have it riding on the edge.
Start it up and check it out. Youre done!
SOURCE: leaking coolant
best bet is to take it to auto zone use a radiator pressure tester and pressurize the system and watch for the leak, should be able to find it within a couple of minutes.
SOURCE: where is the thermostat located
follow the top radiator hose where it goes into the engine there will be a matal housing and where the housing is there will be two bolts take the bolts out and tap the housing it should come off and that is where the thermostat is
