Most seat belts work on a centrifical ratchet.if you pull slow it will extend, if you yank it will lock. when you hit a hard bump you sink into the seat and your seat belt takes up the slack but as you rise withe seat it happens quickly engaging the lock . as this happens over and over the belt gets tighter.

have the disc rotors checked for warpage and bad wear. Check that the wheel bearings are in good condition and properly adjusted. Check pad thickness as you may have metal on metal.

Air ride sensors and lower ball joints have gone bad in my 2004 lincoln navigator. I can wiggle the three senors and the air ride error message will disappear, but returns when riding over bumpy roads....

Are the sensors or connections dirty? I would clean them. You can also use a pliers and tighten the female end of sensor and place it back in the connector.

take vehicle to the dealership, seat belts are lifetime warranty from 1987 on up, you get free working seat belts (dont mention accident at dealer).
