Volvo V50, VIN YV1MW753152104530, engine D4204T. Diagnostic shows error code ECM-1934 Vehicle speed signal missing. Does it mean that there is separate speed/odometar sensor for ECM, since speedometer and odometer works? If so, where to look for that sensor? Regards, Nenad Danicic

Hi im Have Volvo S40 2.0Diesel the computer show ECM-2683 Bypass valve signal too high.Whats part I need to replace?

The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal from the by-pass valve in the thermostat housing. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the signal from the by-pass valve is too high. The fault is diagnosed by the engine control module (ECM) when the ignition is on.
Check for short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.

What dose this code mean for avolvo v50d o9 a610

Most likely this is ADM (Additive Dosing Module) error in diesel engines with DPF. Check in hidden diagnostic menu if ADM is reporting DTCs.

Hi, i have message appeared on dashboard volvo v50 2.0d 2005 "engine sistem service required", could you tell me what is that mean. thanks

Millage service message can be reset without dealer tools. However this is an error message. You need diagnostic tool to check the error code. All you can do right now is to enter hidden menu and check which module is reporting issue (DTC code).

    1997 breeze is shooting codes 12 46 43 55

OBD Code 12 - No Distributor Reference Pulse (Diagnostic Test Active) The Engine Control Module-ECM uses the distributor reference pulse to calculate the engine speed. On newer engines, the Crank Shaft Position Sensor performs this function.

    Symptoms:
    • When flashing the Check Engine Light to read codes, code 12 will always display first, indicating the diagnostic system is active
    • The engine will not run with a "hard" code 12 set
    Common Problems:
    • Chances are you will never need to diagnose a code 12. Rather, the problem would be a crank, no-start condition.
    • If code 12 does not flash, that would indicate a communication problem with the ECM.
    • Code 12 does not show when reading codes with a scan tool. If there is a communication problem, the scan tool will let you know.

OBD Code 46 - Pass-Key II System Error - Circuit out of Frequency Range The ECM receives a signal from the Pass-Key module. When the correct signal is received, the ECM will allow the engine to start and run. Please review the RepairPal article on the GM Pass-Key Anti-theft systems for more information.

    Symptoms:
    • Engine may not start
    Common Problems:
    • Faulty ignition lock cylinder

OBD Code 43 - Knock Sensor error The ECM receives a signal from the Knock Sensor based on the amount of engine ping detected. The ECM uses information from this sensor to help calculate fuel delivery and spark timing.

    Symptoms:
    • Engine ping
    • Lack of power
    Common Problems:
    • Faulty Knock sensor
    • Poor connection at Knock sensor

OBD Code 55 - End Test.

Hope ehit help (remember comment and rated this).

Looking to find out what Volvo error code 1633 means

Code 1633 is not a manufactures code, it is a genetic one, and is not as specific as a volvo code.
The best thing to do is take it to a volvo shop and get the specific code.
I did find a meaning for it------- speed signal missing or absent.
That could mean either a wheel speed sensor, or a vehicle speed sensor is at fault, that's why you have to get the specific code.

    There are 4 codes I need to know about P0810, P1132, P1618, and P1633, 2001 Volvo V-70 24T

    810 neutral check, incorrect connection
  • Check the transmission and control module connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults
  • 1132 front o2 sensor signal too high
1618 dtc is in another module
Volvo does not provide information regarding DTC P1633 for many of their models.
However, it has been reported that various Volvo engine control modules will produce this code. The code is associated with a missing or inaccurate vehicle speed signal from the ABS control module and may be accompanied by DTC P0722 or P1618.

    Possible causes:
    - Defective vehicle speed signal to the ABS control module
    - CAN connection problem
    - Defective ABS control module
    - Defective engine control module

Manufacture codes associated with this P code may include ECM-510f, 530d.
