There is none.Idle is controlled by your computer. If you have problems, check these. Vacuum lines behind throttle body. You may have to replace your air flow sensor. You can also try this:
Engine cold.
Turn your key to on position for a full minute. Don't start the car.
Turn key off for 10 seconds
Turn key on for 10 seconds. (Don't start)
Turn key off for 10 seconds. Then start the car. Might work but in all probability your main airflow sensor (MAP) is the problem.

2003 cts wont start. i jumped the starter and won't turn over. Battery says 11.9 volts could it be the battery or starter?

Battery voltage is definitely and issue. Charge your battery and have it tested before condemning the starter.

I just changed my oil and Now the car won't start.

Your battery needs to be around 12.6 volts to start. Try jumpstarting your vehicle, or purchase a cheap battery charger for around 20$, and let it charge for a couple hours.

You should be able to start, what is the fluid level bring it to the recommended level crank it allow the lifter to solidify and compression will build up

check the oil level usually that is caused by the lack of oil at the top of the engine at initial start up, or it could be the lack of sufficient oil or wrong weight of oil, the oil type should be 5w30 by what ever company you want

Cadillac cts cranks but won't start

My 2003 CTS would not start on the first, second or third try after filling the gas tank. Finally after several months of this occuring every two weeks a check engine light came on. It was the evac purge valve. Tom

I have a CTS 2004. The key jams in the switch and won?t start the engine. I took to GM dealer and they replaced the PCM it worked fine for a week. Now, the issue is back again key jams engine won?t start.

i hope you have the right key or maybe you should change the ignition.

Cts won't start after oil change

Had the same problem. 2005 Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6 would not start after a oil change. I started looking for wires and stuff that might have been disconnected. That is when I realized that I had also checked the air filter. The hose from the air filter box to the intake had come slightly loose from the intake. The car would not run with an air leak at the air cleaner box box hose. Put the hose on tight and problem fixed.

Did you also check the air filter? The Cadillac CTS is very finicky about the differential pressure across the air filter. Checking the air filter often causes the hose between the air filter box and the intake to come loose or start to leak. This will cause the car to run rough or die immediately after starting.

Check the oil pressure sending unit is connected properly. These engines are protected aginst running low or out of oil. The 10 second timer alows the car to build oil pressure, if none is present it will shut down. Is the oil proper viscosity and at the proper level?
