The battery should be removed and charged, not jumped. If you are a AAA member, they will do it for you. If not, join AAA for $35 and the next day call them for the free service.

My 2001 Mercury sable will not start and when I tried to jump start still wont start but alarm goes off and windshield wipers go haywire could it be the starter?

It could be the starter, but i would start with having your battery load tested. Sounds like that is the problem. I hope this helps.

Security alarm was set off yesterday car wouldnot start afterward now battery is dead andnopower at all

This is a real common problem. You have an alarm, however if it goes off it may keep going untill your battery is dead. No big problem, you just need to either jump your battery with another car or hook up a battery charger to the battery. Easy fix.

The battery dead, when I wanna jump the battery the alarm system run,why ? how can I stop the alarm system ?

Basically that battery is completely dead so when you try to jump it it turns the alarm back on. U gotta buy a new battery and when you install it immediately hit the disarm button and you should be ok. If it doesnt turn off you may want somebody with you to help putting the car in the on postion as soon as you connect the battery to turn off the alarm. Also try putting the key in the door and manually unlock the door with the key to disarm the battery

Mitsubishi Magna GLX 1993 jumpstarting sets off alarm!

Is the alarm factory fitted, cheap, or a top of the range.
the factory alarm you can pull the cable of the horn untill you get the car started.
there are some alarms that go off when there is a voltage change, and some will keep going for a couple of minutes if the battery is dead flat untill there is power to equilze the power abit,
and some alarms have a key over ride in the siren.
if its a cheap alarm take the battery of and charge it,(the alarm will cut out as soon as the battery is disconnected.
~dont jump start from a dead flat battery, as it can cause a lot more problems with the electrics, leave another car running with the jump leads on for at least 5 min first.~
