2007 Entourage Rear-View Mirror detached...

My wife accidentally knocked off the rear-view mirror in our 2007 entourage... It's detached from the 'black' square-shaped black base on the windshield, and with the mirror and a star-screw shaped connection point on the mirror itself.

It looks like the square-shaped black base piece can open somehow, to enable one to attach the star-screw shaped connection point from the mirror, back into it... any idea on how I can open this up?

The piece that is on the glass is glued on with an ultra violet cured adhesive, or a two part epoxy adhesive. The last one I did was cured by the sun in 24 hours (mix, set and cure).

Mirror, Power — Outside Rear View NOTE: This procedure applies to both RH and LH power outside rear view mirrors.

Removal
  1. Remove the front door trim panel (23942). Refer to Section 01-05 for the removal procedure.
  1. Remove the two outside rear view mirror inside mounting hole cover screws and the outside rear view mirror mounting hole cover (17K709) from the front door (20124).




  1. Remove the wire clip.
  1. Disconnect the power outside rear view mirror electrical connector.




  1. Remove the three power outside rear view mirror bolts and the power outside rear view mirror.




Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the three power outside rear view mirror bolts to 3-4 Nm (27-35 lb-in). Glass, Outside Mirror

The inside rear view mirror fell off I need to re=attach it
The button is locked into the mirror shoe by a flat spring. Find the notch at the bottom of the shoe and insert a small flat screwdriver to push the spring away from the button. Some force may be required.

  1. Position the inner edge or the exterior rear view mirror glass to its maximum travel.

    Grasp the outboard edge of the exterior rear view mirror glass and pull outward.
