2003 Hyundai Sonata vvvibbbrraattteess!!!!

Had my 2003 4 cylinder Hyundai Sonata flatbedded to the shop...the car lurched forward and stopped...never to start again. My mechanic replaced the crankshaft sensor..and while he had the thing apart he put on a new timing belt that had several teeth missing and also a new water pump. Picked up the car and it vibrated terribbly. The mechanic thought it could be a motor mount. It wasn't that. I drove it like this for a few months and just took it in to the shop for a new clutch...a broken dual flywheel was found. We all thought that it must have been the flywheel that was rubbing that made the horrendous vibration...nope...the car still vibrates. Could you please tell me what could be wrong? Anything to do with the balance shaft or belt?

There are Two Balance Shafts on the 2.4. Did your mechanic also change the balance shaft belt when he changed the timing belt? If he didn't, you'll want to do that. Since you mentioned the old belt was missing teeth, those loose teeth flying around could have damaged the crank position sensor and sensor blade (tone wheel). Also, the front balance shaft (on the side of the engine nearest the radiator), has THREE different positions when the timing mark is lined up - here's the glitch - ONLY ONE of them is the correct one - this is probably where your vibration is.
