In regards to the swishing water. Had the same problem on my 99 Jimmy. Reason for the problem was air pockets due to low coolant level in my rad and any empty reserve tank. Drained rad and refilled till absolutlely full. Filled reserve tank to proper level and waited for thermostat to open and **** in coolant, level goes down. Top it up and repeat till rad level stays full and no air will be present. Bybe bye to swishing water sound. Hope this helps.

Alan,is this only on vihicle start-up and taking off from corners when accelerating,if so,sounds like air in heater core, you could try to purge air out with a manual system pressure tester or run vehicle from cold start with rad cap off for 15 minutes at 1200 rpm to purge air from system, also dont rule out basics, verify rain water drain ports are clear and not plugged

2003 dodge ram quad cab 5.7 hemi. a/c and heater vents won't open or close all the way. when set to 'dashboard only' on the control, it barely blows any air through the vents even though the fan is on...

All your vents are controlled by two things. one of course is the dash swicth. when you turn the switch to the psition you want it at in pulls vacumm to a diaghram that opens the blow door for the setting you chose. In my years of fixing these its usually has been a broken vacumm line under the hood.start the vehicle and listen for a hising noise or like an air leak ;follow the vacumm lines that are visible. the other problem could be a bad switch element and dodges are notorious for these.hope this helps

I have a 4x4 dodge ram 1500 pick up quad cab that

Hello there:
what i would suggest is to remove all of the mats that you can and stasrt the vehical and turn on the heater and let it run for a while and see if there is any water leaking from there if no water is noticed get a water hose and run water all around the windshield and than inspect from the inside to see fi there is any water coming in anywhere and if ther is than you will need a new windshield gasket there may also be a leak between the cab and the firewall so check to see if thereis any plugs that are missing or any place that hoses are going thru the firewall to see if they have a gap in them allowing water to leak in and cracks in the cab floor will get water in there too ok?
so please try these i hope that this has been very helpfull for you
best regards michael

Water rushing sound...

The sound you are hearing is air trapped in the heater core/cooling system. Check the coolant level often, this should work it's self out. Good Luck.
