Go to google.com, type in P0753 dodge code. when you get your search results,it should be the second one down,it should look something like what I typed after this at the bottom part of the second result, maybe the 3rd.instead of ma trying to explain it again, just go there and you will find a detailed list of how to check and test, and even replace all parts associated with this code, there is even pictures to look at also. www.cumminsforum.com/.../167007-code-p0753-repaired-long.html

Let me give more history on the question, replaced 98 Cherokee auto transmission with 2000 tranny. DTC code P0753. DBR says short to ground, no communication from TCM to PCM. Electrical problem occurs...

code p0753 refers to shift solenoid (SS) A electrical===causes--wiring---shift solenoid---ECM/TCM
I'm thinking that with the transmission upgrade and the fault code showing wiring and TCM as faulty I would be paying serious attention to the configuration of the wires in the plugs. Just because the connectors go together may not mean that the corresponding wires go to the right bits. you may have to invest in a good work shop manual for the gear boxes and trace the wiring circuits out and adjust the pins in the connectors to the right circuits.

Code p0753 for a dodge ram 2500 360 m

Both fault codes refer at Tnasmission problem...

P0743 - Torque Converter Circuit Electrical
This DTC appears when an open or shorted condition is detected in the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) solenoid control circuit; check this as possible causes:
- fused ignition switch output circuit open
- torque converter clutch solenoid defective
- TCC solenoid circuit w/h intermittent defect
- TCCsolenoid circuit w/h observable defect
- TCC solenoid control circuit open
- TCC solenoid control circuit short to ground
- PCM defective (TCC solenoid control circuit)

You will need remove the cover/pan to inspect the harness that goes to all the solonoids and then to inspect the valvebody and the TCC solonoid itself. If you have a multimeter then you could ohm through the harness and even the solonoid. I have found that most of the time this code was produced because of the solonoid itself. But it could be the circuits to it also. There is abig connector an top of the trans that goes into the trans and the internal harness ispect that connector for any corrosion or damaged pins or wires.

P0753 - Shift Solenoid A Electrical Malfunction
This is a common repair that I have replaced several of the solenoid but it is not a cronic problem. It be the wire going to the solenoid shorted so make sure that is check before the transmission is tilted down and the side cover removed. 90% it is just the solenoid; the solenoid is located in the side pan of the tranmission. It would mean lowering the cradle(what the engine and transmission sit on) and lowering the transmission down about one to two feet. Check this like a possible cause:
- 1-2 shift solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground
- 1-2 shift solenoid control circuit is shorted to voltage
- 1-2 shift solenoid has failed
- PCM has failed

You will need to remove the transmission pan and its the solenoid with the red and light green wires going to it. Let us know if you have questions contact us here.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer. Thank you for using FixYa.

Jose.

Coud p0753 durango 1998

DTC P0753 is for the 3-4 shift solenoid in the trans.
This is an electrical code, it will set when the voltage seen by the engine controller on the solenoid's control circuit is incorrect. The solenoid pack gets a constant 12v from the trans relay and is controlled by the engine controller by switching ground.

Since you don't have a code for the TCC solenoid that shares the same relay feed and you don't have a trans relay code set we know the problem is isolated to the solenoid or it's control wire. It could be a short, broken wire, or corrosion in the control wire between the trans and engine controller, but this is almost always the solenoid itself.

This code is not not saying replace parts. They say check it out on yours a code 753 points to a 3-4 shift solenoid relay problem or wiring problem. Other thing to check could be the speed sensor module that screws into the side of the transfer case. back feeding bad info to ECM.

My 2000 dodge durango v8 5.9L is getting 3 error code 0443, 0753, 1753 how to fix?

P0443 EVAP Purge Solenoid Circuit Malfunction Check your gas cap make sure that it is on tight, or just replace roughly 7 dollars.

P0753 3-4 Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuit Malfunction - With Automatic Transmission I would try clearing the codes and seeing if this one comes back on. If it does then you need the Transmission Relay, it is located in the engine compartment.

1753 is your transmission lockup solenoid is bad. I would replace this solenoid and it will most likely clear the code for the P0753 or since you are going to be in there you can just replace both.

Everything is at your local parts store, they might have to order it but that will take 1 day

0753 is shift solenoid A, electrical problem.as for the other codes they should start with a zero not a one. if they started with a 0757 that means shift solenoid B,stuck in on position. 0762 means shift solenoid C,stuck in on position. 0765 means shift solenoid D,malfunction

Fault codes 2001 dodge 2500 truck p1594 p0753 what do they mean?

p1594 means the charging system voltage is too high. p0753 means the electrical solenoid 'A' has a problem. probably went bad and caused the other code p1594 to happen. replace solenoid.
