Hi every 1 i have an idle problem wiv my fiat punto gt when it gets warm i have tried every thing i can thinck off . lamda senser,idle controll valve,air temp senser,coolant senser,plugs ,leads ,new air filter. still wiv no joy ?...

the FSM covers the tests, ever heard of the FSM. (buy it at the dealer)

Some PSA Peugeot Citroen diesel engines are also rebadged JTD units.
Applications:
fiat punto old one ,check the vacumn pipes for perishing and damage if they all appear ok then remove the idle control valve and clean it all out including the hole it fits into ,it looks like a round black cylinder on the inlet manifold with a 4 wire multiplug connection and when its removed it has like a bulet shape on the end ,make sure the rubber seal on it ok as well

FIAT engine light flashing means the ECU needs adaptation,
you can do it yourself just follow this procedure.
( remember not to accelerate unles is stated) start the engine
let it to warm and wait for the cooling fan to come ON then OFF 3 times, like ON,OFF,ON,OFF,ON,OFF. After the fan cuts off the third time accelerate fully down let the engine rev up to 4000 only then leave the accelerator let the engine goes down back to idle, do this 3 times.the engine light should go away.
