P0685 Dodge Description:
Short or open in Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay circuit, this relay is under the hood in the relay center.
well i don't know a whole lot about the dodges but i do know that when a transmission is rebuilt, or you get a new transmission, most of your outer parts, sensors, and modules are transfered over or reused, so it is very well possible that it could be one of those.
There is an (auto shut down relay) located on the van in the fuse/relay panel under the hood. It controls the fire to the coil, fuel injectors alternator. (never ever heard of a (eatx relay)??? Or a (eatx backup relay)??? Hope this will help you.
eatx stands for electronic automatic transmission controller
the eatx relay provides power for the controller and the backup eatx relay is for the backup lights
the ground strap is bolted to the transmission housing next to the starter bolt.the transmission not shifting may be caused by the computer and may need to be reprogrammed for the new transmission.
