The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

On top of the radiator support above the headlight assembly, there are 2 holes that lead to the adjustment screws. Use either a torx bit driver in the center of the adjusting bolt or the proper size socket to engage the hex bolt.

How to adjust AUDI headlights beams

There are two adjustment points (screws). For example left headlight: you will see one point near the end of left wing, at bottom side through a wing hole. This is for vertical plane headlight beam adjustment (up-down). Another one point is against water radiator side. This is for horizontal plane headlight beam adjustment (left-right).

How do i adjust headlight on scoda octavia

I would try taking the headlight out and try refitting it again the headlights should not go out of alignment just because you change a bulb,(check the plastic nut at back of the headlight near the top) however the if you need to adjust it the adjusters are on the plate that the headlight sits on you will need a torque bit to loosen off the screws to adjust them

A6 very low dipped beam

This may be caused by the adjuster on the back of the headlight. There are adjuster that can be turned using a phillips screw driver. The adjusters then turn a bevel gear and that turns the shaft that adjusts the up and down, left and right on the light. Sometimes these gears get damaged or broken. If the gear is broken you will not be able to adjust the alignment of the light. You can purchase the enclosure on line but they are very expensive. I hope you get lucky and just need to have them adjusted

Headlights point down in son's 2002 audi TT...need to adjust them. Any tips on doing this successfully? No audi dealer near us here in rural nebraska. Thank you.

Hi, are the headlamps Zenon? If they are you will need to take the car to a dealer. If they are normal halogen lamps then you can adjust them with a 6mm hex key. If you look vertically downwards at the rear of the lamp unit you'll see the adjuster about halfway down facing up at you. simply turn with the hex key until you reach the required adjustment.
Hope that helps Matt..

Changed passenger side headlight bulb, now unable to adjust or align head lights

Changing the bulb should not have affected the housing adjustments.

The bulb is just inserted into the headlight housing. The adjustments on the headlight housing is what adjusts the alignment of the headlights.

Did you maybe not get the bulb not seated correctly in the socket? Or didn't get the socket not seated correctly into the housing?
