I have an 2001 Honda Accord, SRS went off a few

its the air bag system ,disconnect battery and then clean the connections in the connector block under the front seats and rub the pins with a soft lead black pencil ,reconnect all and see what happens

I had the same problem on my 1999 Honda Accord 4 cyl. It was the ignition switch. I received a letter from Honda regarding a recall on the ignition switch and had it replaced. 3 years after replacement it would turn off again & this time I purchased part from eBaby & replaced it myself. It hasn’t stalled since.

most of older honda models have problem with seat belt and it turn on the srs light. infact, there is a recall, check with your local dealer.
however, when that light come on there is a problem with your air bag system. so have it check

srs means secondary restraint system. e.g air bags and things like that. when it stays on for a few seconds its because it is doing a systems check. if the light stays on all the time then there is a problem. hope i helped.

If you look under the front seats you will see wires that are attached to the seat belt anchor.There is a plug joining them wires.Disconnect the plugs then clean them and replace.That should solve your problem.Note.Make sure the ignition is switched off befor doing so.Good luck.pippall

You can remove the fuse for the airbags if it worries you.

The best information I have is this is a recall problem with your OPDS sensor. Contact your Honda dealer to verify and if so they should fix it for free.

check your owners manual, should be on the last page/ back cover. or tr calling your local honda dealer.

safety restrane system(srs) get the car on a scanner to see what code you got if you whant disconnect the battery it will clear the code maybe will stay off let me know pierre
