I got into my 2006 trailblazer today and when I accellorate it make a loud squealing noise

Hi,

It sounds like the black serpentine belt. It's about $20-$40 and easy to replace. Or it could be the pulley. First check that belt.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/laura_08254539050d64db

Replace serpentine belt of a chevrolet trailblazer ss 2006

There is a diagram of the belt routing moulded into the belt cover. The pulley on the right is an idler pulley and the tensioner is on the left, this is the one used to set the tightness of the belt (Also to release it for removal). Where the belt makes its run across the top, you should be able to turn the belt through 90 deg. with just a bit of force, then the tension is about correct.

How do i change camshaft position sensor on 2006 trailblazer

d03e295.gif Remove the serpentine belt, remove the power steering pump to get access. You might have to remove the upper radiator hose. NOTE: When changing cam or crank sensors your vehicle will need to go through a re-learn process. This can only be done at the dealer!!

Hi, first, keep this diagram around as you will need it to route the serpentine belt when you reinstall it. There may also be a diagram under the hood by the radiator.

Need help with an idle problem on a 2006 trailblazer

The belt should be on an automatic tensioner ,your problem is not in the belt but it is possible you have air in the coolant system and the coolant sensor is not submerged and therefore will not allow engine to reach maximum rpm's,try running engine up to temp while the coolant cap is off and wait for all air to come to surface.that should solve you problem. good luck.

Just replaced the water pump on my 2004 trailblazer the other day, removed the fan to get the water pump out. You do not have to remove the fan just to change the belt.
